Sometimes, tulips grow spontaneously in habitats threatened by human activities such as these clusters of Tulipa gulimyi (vulnerable endemic species of the Peloponnese, protected by the Greek Presidential Decree 67/1981) that appear in the middle of a rural road in the semi-mountainous Laconia during April 2021. Contrary to expectations, these clusters of crimson tulips failed to bear fruit in June 2021.
